Linux Ubuntu Multimedia Box

Ubuntu is an excellent Linux-basedoperating system in the digital signage field, second only to Android.Dingchang's high-end RK3588 digital signage multimedia player box is compatiblewith the higher version of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS system.

The RK3588 motherboard inside the box (asshown in the figure below) is the latest 8-core embedded ARM development boardindependently developed and manufactured by Dingchang. It is a standardembedded ITX form factor with high integration and compact design. It hasintegrated CAN, SATA, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, and the maximum memory can be 32GB + 256GB.

The box shell is made of aluminum alloy (asshown in the figure below). It has a stylish and exquisite appearance and isone of Dingchang's best-selling multimedia player boxes and IOT boxes. It isgenerally used for high-definition video playback and PPT playback of digitalsignage, supports 4K and 8K resolutions, and is one of the preferred models formid-to-high-end player boxes.

The external interfaces of the box include2 HDMI OUT high-definition output interfaces, which can be connected to 2digital signage displays, and 1 HDMI IN acquisition interface, which can beconnected to camera sources, computer sources and other signals.

Now Dingchang has also gained a certainmarket overseas. Many overseas customers adopt the Ubuntu Linux system. It issuitable for overseas markets such as supermarkets, hospitals, schools,internal corporate publicity and notifications, factories, and even churches.

The reason why overseas cooperativecustomers choose Ubuntu is that they consider the complexity of deployingAndroid and Google GMS, as well as the genuine authorization of x86 and theoccasional pop-up updates of the Windows system (although they can be turnedoff).
