Can face access control devices be powered via POE?

Yes, they can be powered via POE, but it depends on whether the internal motherboard of the face access control device has a POE interface. A 4PIN POE interface on the motherboard can lead to anexternal POE power supply module, which is embedded and installed on the backshell of the face access control device.

1. RK3566 POE access control motherboard.

Dingchang's independently developed andmanufactured RK3566 access control turnstile, door phone, and conference nameplate face-swiping access Android 11 platform development motherboard. Itis equipped with onboard relays, 4-channel LED fill light interfaces, supports USB (type-c) power supply, TTL, RS485, 232, I2C expansion interfaces, has abuilt-in 8M@30fps ISP, can connect to face dual-camera MIPI CSI and face algorithm chips. It is recommended to be used with MIPI DSI LCD screens for development, can be externally connected to 100M POE, has 6 onboard USB ports,4 serial ports, 1 I2C port that can connect to touch screens, and 1 infrared remotecontrol.

2. S905D3 POE access control motherboard.

Dingchang's access control board is ultra-thin with a thickness of only 7mm. The development board uses Amlogic S905D3 high-performance 4-core 1.9GHz chip. It is oriented to the developmentfield of smart hardware terminals with requirements for thickness, such as:access control turnstiles, conference check-in nameplates, smart buildings,smart home touch gateways and other embedded hardware development. Application: combined with face recognition algorithms, it perfectly realizes the development of access control or face-swiping access industry applications suchas turnstiles and conference check-in attendance. It can be connected to an external POE network power supply module or adapter board. Supports Android 9.0 and Type-c, POE power supply.
