Allwinner Main Control Commercial Display Mid-Range Solution

The DC_A527 development board is an independentlydeveloped commercial display Android development board by Dingchang, based on Allwinner's mid-range main control A527. It supports the latest Android 13 system and has optimized split-screen operations, with specific optimizations for landscape application development and multi-window operations. In addition,the A527 development board supports hardware split-screen operations in terms of hardware, such as dual-screen mirroring, extended display, and stitching functions.   

The aforementioned dual-screen solution supports any combination of LVDS, EDP, and MIPI DSI, and it is recommended to pair it with a 1080P resolution LCD screen.

In terms of memory configuration (LPDDR andeMMC combination), it supports a maximum memory and storage specification of 4GB + 128GB, ensuring smoother application development, video playback, and better support for running multiple applications simultaneously. For the GPU,the G57 MC01 GPU supports HDR functionality and belongs to ARM’s Valhallmid-range architecture, offering good 3D performance. Although the A527 does not have an NPU, the 2GHz high frequency of its CPU is a standout feature. Dueto its 28nm processor process, heat dissipation can be somewhat challenging. It is important to design proper heat dissipation when developing devices anddesigning the airflow for the enclosure; all other functions are excellent.  

The A527 is well-suited for developing commercial display devices, playback boxes, and gaming equipment. Withmid-range performance and a cost-effective pricing strategy, it supports LPDDR4due to its high frequency. It handles video encoding and decoding up toH.265/HEVC/VP9 - 4K@60fps and H.264/AVC - 4K@30fps, boasting strong multimediacapabilities. It is another cost-effective solution based on Allwinner for commercial display devices, multimedia playback devices, and playback boxes.
